106 Degree Ground

by Charlie Steady

about

In contrast to the over 2 year writing, recording, and production of the album Tenderfoot, the new single "106 Degree Ground" was written on a whim with the writing and recording happening over a 2 month period.

A simple summer single evoking the need to stay cool during such a hot time of year. The song focuses on the monotony of being in a desolate place during the summer season and how our imagination can transport us out of our current situation.

"It's much more straightforward than anything I wrote on Tenderfoot, and that is very purposeful." -Seth Craig

lyrics

Sex on the beach is my kind of drink
More thirsty I get, the harder to relate
Nothing goes down in this baron town
Except people laying on the 106 degree ground

106 degree ground
I know it's hot out right now
But can we jump to our feet
To the mermaid goddess beneath

106 degree ground
I know it's hot out right now
But can we jump to our feet
To the mermaid goddess beneath

Sex on the beach is my kind of drink
More thirsty I get, the harder to relate
Nothing goes down in this baron town
Except people laying on the 106 degree ground

106 degree ground
I know it's hot out right now
But can we jump to our feet
To the mermaid goddess beneath

106 degree ground
I know it's hot out right now
But can we jump to our feet
To the mermaid goddess beneath
